Hundreds of Years of History
Our library and archive collections together form a rich historical information resource. The library and archive are private collections, but we want to share them as widely as possible.
Our Library
The library was founded in 1445 to support the private study of the Cathedral priests, although the known history of the book collection dates from the 1100s.
Our Archive
The archive is the Cathedral’s memory. The oldest document was written on parchment in 1136 while the most recent documents were created electronically.
